JEFF WISER
Jeff Wisor

Jeff Wisor was born in Corning, NY in 1940. Coming from a musical family, he was playing fiddle at age 15 for square and round dances around the area. After his time in the U.S. Army, Jeff played fiddle with several bands, including the Mississippi Gamblers, Voices of Blue Grass and Eddie Addcock and The Second Generation. He has won several contests including the N.Y.S. championship, the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C. and the State of Maryland. He has played fiddle with many famous names on the Grand Old Opry and Carnegie Hall. For many years he has played fiddle with David Bromberg across the U.S., Canada and Europe.
Jeff plays other stringed instruments on his own recordings, but says his first love in music is the old time fiddle. When not on tour with Bromberg, Jeff still teaches old time fiddle in Corning, NY.
