The annual NYSOTFA Fiddlers' Picnic Festival is sponsored in part by the New York State Council on the Arts and is the main event held each year at the grounds of the NYSOTFA in Osceola, NY. This weekend-long event has featured world class fiddlers and fiddling through the years and is sure to get your toes tapping. To name only a few, some of the past guest artists include: Graham and Eleanor Townsend, Ed Gyurki, Tony Burtnik, Calvin Vollrath, Ivan and Vivian Hicks, Craig Duncan, Scott Woods and many more. Some of the New York State guest artists through the years have included: George Harriger, Don Woodcock, Donnie Perkins, George Wilson, Jackie Hobbs, Phil and Gretchen Banaszak, Gretchen Kohler and others to name just a few. This weekend-long event features multiple performances by the guest artist, individual sign up performances, workshops, jam sessions, round and square dancing and all sorts of good old fashioned family fun. During the weekend, stop in and check out the museum after a delicious meal from our new kitchen facility. Don't forget to bring your instrument and join in the many jam sessions throughout the weekend.
